The Ananda Experience

(Three Nights & Four Days effective from October 2001)

The above mentioned packages are inclusive of:

• Welcome Drink on Arrival.
• Early morning Ananda signature drink (ginger, lemon and honey in hot water-a detoxifying drink).
• Daily Continental breakfast served in The Restaurant.
• Two Spa treatments per person i.e. a choice from Ananda Touch OR Reflexology OR Hydrotherapy Aromatic Bath OR Spa credit of US $ 50 per person for the entire stay.
• Transportation/Transfers from Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun or Haridwar Railway Station to "Ananda" and back.
• Daily Fruit bowl in the Room.
• Complimentary use of the wet spa areas; Sauna, Steam and Jacuzzi.
• Complimentary use of the Heated Swimming Pool and Gymnasium.

• Aarti at Rishikesh i.e. evening worship on the banks of The Ganges. (includes transportation).

• Lifestyle Consultation with Spa Physician 30 minutes

This gives you the opportunity for a confidential discussion, aiming to address the causes of stress, looking at a balanced lifestyle, confidence and self-esteem.

• Synchronized massage/ Abhyanga 60 minutes

This massage is performed in the traditional manner with the application of medicated herbal oil. Two masseurs apply herbal oil to the head and massage gently. This massaging is done both in the lying and the seated position on the neck, shoulders, chest and back. After this, the person is made to lie on the back and the massage is done from shoulder to toe. Synchronized massage improves physical consistency, betters eyesight, induces sleep, reduce high blood pressure and eliminate the impurities in the system.

• Sirodhara 30 minutes

Highly medicated special oil is poured as an even stream on to the forehead continuously to pacify, which revitalizes the human mind & body and diminishing the effect of aging. Sirodhara, is effective for improving memory, curing paralysis, senile dementia and other neurological malfunctions. This is a special therapy to reduce stress and strain and strengthen one's physical constitution.

• Aromatherapy Hot Oil Treatment 45 minutes

The pure essence of Lavender, Geranium and Rosemary are massaged into the scalp for hydration, regenerative and calming effects. The hair is steamed for twenty minutes to help better absorb the product to improve hydration and elasticity of the hair. Excellent for dry, dehydrated and sensitive scalp and hair.

• Revitalizing Seaweed Body Wrap 45 minutes

A specially prepared imported warm seaweed mixture is gently smoothed over your entire body after dry body brushing. Then you are gently cocooned in a warm heat blanket to eliminate toxins and impurities while the therapist gives a relaxing scalp massage.

• Ananda Pure Indulgence 3 hours

Sattva means quality of truth, virtue, beauty and equilibrium. Achieve harmony in body and soul with this blissful treatment. Let yourself be nurtured and revived by this experience while we attend to your every need.
