Day 01 (Wednesday) Mumbai
Departure in the evening from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai.

DAY 2 (Thursday) Jaigadh, Ganapatipule, Ratnagiri and Bhatye Beach
Morning Arrival at Bhoke Railway Station.
Reach Rai Bhatgaon Jetty by AC bus for Backwater Cruise up to historical fort Jaigadh. Board the bus to explore finest beach along the Konkan coast.
Enjoy free time & lunch at Ganapatipule Beach Resort. At Noon, board the bus for sight seeing tour of Ratnagiri town.
Visit Ratnadurg Fort, Lokmanya Tilak Smarak and shop in Ratnagiri Bazar. Board the train at Ratnagiri Railway station.

DAY 3 (Friday) Sindhudurg, Tarkarli, Sawantwadi
Morning Arrival at Sindhudurg Nagari Railway station.
Departure by AC Bus to Malvan Jetty to witness Sindhudurg Sea Fort. From Jetty proceed to Tarkarli Beach Resort for lunch. After lunch proceed for Backwater Cruise through the Tarkarli. Creek up to Kalse Jetty, followed by a visit to Sawantwadi town by bus to witness fabulous lacquer handicrafts, paintings and furniture at the “Shilpagrama” in the town.

Late in the evening board the train at Sawantwadi railway station.

Day 4 (Saturday) Goa
Morning Arrival at Karmali, Goa the most frequented tourist spot in India.
Board the bus to reach Old Goa to witness Basilica De Born Jesus, Se Cathedral, and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi that began as a mosque but now is an archaeological museum for Goan antiques. Proceed to Panjim by bus.
Free time for short walk in city and bazaar followed by lunch at Fort Aguada Beach Resort. After lunch, visit Dona Paula & 250 years old House.
Late in the evening, board the train from Madgaon railway station.

Day 05 (Sunday) Pune
Morning - Arrival at Kolhapur City, Situated on the banks of river Panch Ganga.
Board the bus to visit New Palace, a royal palace partly converted into museum; Bhawani Mandap (The Town Hall), witness traditional Martial Art locally known as “Mardani Khel”, Mahalaxmi Temple a temple of goddess Ambabai, Shalini Palace built of intricately carved black stone & Italian Marble stands on the west side of lake Rankala, watch cultural programs and visit the handicraft stalls for perfect memorabilia.

At noon, board the train at Kolhapur station to depart for Pune. Take the lunch on board. Enjoy leisure time till evening.

At evening, arrive at Pune. Board the bus to visit Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, houses variety of artifacts of the 17th, 18th & 19th Centuries. Board the train from Pune railway station. Dinner on board.

Day 06 (Monday) Aurangabad
Morning Arrival at Daulatabad station.
Traveling along the picturesque ruins of Aurangabad proceed by road to the Historical fort Daulatabad. Next stop is Ellora caves, a World Heritage site, having 34 cave temples dedicated to three different religions Hinduism, Buddhism & Jainism.Then go for Lunch & have free time.

After lunch, move on to see BibikaMaqbara, a replica of Taj Mahal. It is a grand piece of Moghul architecture. Optional: Back to train or enjoy the free time for shopping Paithani, Himroo, and Bidriwork from showrooms for a perfect memorabilia. In the evening, board the train from Aurangabad railway station. Dinner on board.

Day 07 (Tuesday) Ajanta & Nasik
Arrive at Jalgaon railway station and travel to Fardapur resort.
After breakfast, proceed to visit renowned Buddhist caves of Ajanta a World Heritage Site to witness some of the finest paintings and sculptures of the second century AD.

At noon, board the train at Bhusalwal railway station. Proceed to Nasik. Lunch on board.

Arrival at Nasik railway station and depart to visit Panchawati Ghat and Sula Winery Yard. Wine and dine at the Winery Yard. Late in the night, board the train at Nasik railway station.

Day 08 (Wednesday) Mumbai
Enjoy the breakfast on board as the sun rises over the commercial capital of India. Arrive at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus This morning enriched with the rich legacy of this land. The royal journey is over, but the memory of which, will live on forever.

ABOUT THE TRAIN...
The Deccan Odyssey rail has 21 coaches out of which 11 are passenger cars with 4 coups each. There are 2 Presidential Suite Cars with 2 coupes in each. The train also has a conference car (can be redesigned as dance floor in the night) and two restaurant cars. There is also a lounge/bar car and one surprising addition is a Spa Car. Apart from the above there are generator cars with luggage store and staff car or spare car.
