Galle

Galle, the coastal town along the south west coast of Sri Lanka, is dotted with hidden beaches and beautiful beach resorts. The Portuguese landed in Galle in the 16th century, followed by the Dutch in the 17th century who built the walled fort, which has now been declared as world heritage site.
