Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Upon your arrival in hi- tech Indian city of Bangalore, you will be greeted by our representative at the International Airport. After a warm welcome, you will be escorted to your hotel for overnight.Day 2
After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Bangalore visiting the Government museum (one of the oldest museums of India), Vidhan Soudha (state legislative chambers with magnificent amalgamation of modern and traditional Dravidian temple style architecture), and also visit “Lal Bagh Gardens” (regarded as one of the most richly diverse botanical gardens in south Asia).
En route visit Srirangapatnam – an island in the Cauvery River where “Tipu Sultan” built his summer palace.
Later embark on a short drive to Mysore, - Mysore was the old capital city of Mysore state. In 16 century wadayar kings ruled the kingdom as their capital. Later in 17 century when military revolution came. Hyderali who was one of the military chief took over the rule. Later Hyder Ali and the son Tippusultan expanded their kingdom, up to half of Tamilanadu state and half of Kerala state. Later on 1799 on battle with British Tippusultan were defeated. Later the area came to the control of British. Upon arrival at Mysore, check-inn into your hotel for 02 nights stays.
Day 3
Day 4
This morning, embark on your scenic drive to the hub of coffee plantations, Chikmagalur.
En-route to Chikmagalur visit Hassan / Belur, famous for its magnificent Hoysala Temple Complex with intricate sculptures. This is the only Hoysala Temple still in active worship. Also visit Halebidu, the erstwhile capital of the Hoysalas. The Hoysaleswara Temple here perched on a star-shaped base amidst lawns, is a sculptural extravaganza.
Upon arrival check into your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5
After breakfast, this morning visit Belavadi – the place with numerous ancient temples and shrines out of which the most prominent one is Veera Narayana Temple. You can also visit Sringeri which is believed to be the abode of Shankaracharya or visit St. Joseph’s Cathedral which has a shell shaped portico.
Also visit one of the Coffee plantations in the city where you can either walk down or drive down and lose yourself in the quietness of the lush green plantations.
En route visit Jogs Falls – (200 Kms from Chikmagalur) height 253 meters, Jog Falls mainly comprises of four different streams of the River Sharavati, plunging down a steep incline in the district of Shimoga. The significance of Jog Falls is that in this waterfall, the water does not stream down the rocks in a tiered fashion. On the contrary, the water thunders down the slope losing contact with the rocks, thus making Jog Falls the tallest un tiered waterfall in the country.
Later continue drive to Karwar - is an incredibly beautiful stretch of hills and beaches in the state Karnataka in southern India.
Upon arrival check inn into your hotel for overnight at Karwar.
Day 6
This morning after breakfast, check out and embark on drive to Goa. This morning you will visit Karwar temples and beach - DURGA TEMPLE - is located in Sadashivgad hill fort of Karwar. Predating the fort, this temple has an important history. It is believed that Raja Shiv Chatrapati, who discovered this temple, gave rights of worship here to the local Bhandari population.
KARWAR BEACH (RABINDRANATH TAGORE BEACH) – Situated 3 Kms from Karwar, the Rabindranath Tagore beach in Devbagh is boundlessly enchanting. It is a tourist hub with snorkelling and diving being the main attractions here. It is said that Tagore was so attracted to the serene beauty of this beach that it inspired him to pen down his first play, Prakritir Pratishodh (Nature's Revenge). DARGAH OF PEER SHAN SHAMSUDDIN KHAROBAT – The famous Dargah of Peer Shan Shamsuddin Kharobat, a Baghdadi Saint, is a place of tourist interest for pilgrims.
Later continue drive to Goa airport to catch your flight for onward destination.
