Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Hyderabad international airport our airport representative will meet and greet you and escort you to your hotel for 02 nights stay.

Hyderabad – is the capital of Andhra Pradesh and is known for its rich history, culture and architecture representing its unique characteristic of a meeting point for North and South India.Its multi-lingual culture, both geographically and culturally. Hyderabad has been a place where Hindus and Muslims have co-existed peacefully for centuries. Hyderabad and Secunderabad are twin cities, separated by the Husain Sagar (bound by the 'Tank Bund'), a manmade lake made during the time of Ibrahim Qutab Shah in 1562.

This afternoon visit the SALARJUNG MUSEUM - the biggest “One Man Collection” Contine your sightseeing to visit CHARMINAR - located in the heart of the old city; this magnificent edifice built by Mohammed Quli Qutab Shah which is a unique symbol of Hyderabad. A small mosque is located on the roof of the edifice. All around the Charminar is a bustling bazaar of pearl and jewellery shops, perfume and attar dealers.

Also visit the biggest Mosque of India - MECCA MOSQUE. Later return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Hyderabad, which includes a visit to Golconda fort, Golconda consists of four distinct forts with a 10 km long outer wall with 87 semicircular bastions (some still mounted with cannons), eight gateways, and four drawbridges, with a number of royal apartments & halls, temples, mosques, magazines, stables, etc. inside. Later visit the Qutab Sahi Tomb of the Sultans which lie about one kilometer north of Golconda’s outer wall. These structures are made of beautifully carved stonework, and surrounded by landscaped gardens.

You will also visit BIRLA MANDIR, dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara of Tirumala Tirupati Temple. The temple is made of white marble brought from Rajasthan and the architectural style is a blend of North Indian and South Indian styles of temple architecture. Another monument included is the NIZAM’S MUSEUM which is situated within Purani Haveli, the erstwhile palace of the Nizams. Purani Haveli or Haveli Khadeem was the residence of the Nizams. It was acquired by Nizam II, Ali Khan Bahadur in 1857 and was renovated between 1803 and 1829 for his son Sikander Jah, Nizam III. Today, Purani Haveli has been and converted into a museum that showcases gifts and mementos presented to Mir Osman Ali Khan, Nizam VII, on the occasion of silver jubilee celebrations in 1936. CHOWMAHALLA PALACE or Chowmahallat Palace, the symbol of royal and cultural heritage, was opened in 2005. Though built over 250 years ago, Chowmahalla Palace is well preserved and upholds its cultural significance and elegance even today.

Day 3

This morning, embark on the drive to Gulbarga (265 Kms). Enroute visiting BIDAR - a city and taluka in Karnataka. It is the administrative seat of Bidar District. Bidar city is known for its unique Bidri handicraft products. The second Capital of Bahamani Kings with its splendid fort ruins, colourful palace near GUMBAZ DARWAZA is famous for its woodwork and the mother-of-pearl inlay work. The outer hall was for the purpose of giving audience and the wooden pillars are elaborately carved, it is a complex of unique tombs and a Living Gurudwara.

Later continue the drive to Gulbarga (115 Kms from Bidar). Upon arrival check in into hotel for Overnight stay at Gulbarga.

Day 4

Today you will be embark on the drive to BIJAPUR. After breakfast checkout from your hotel, and visit the popular monuments of GULBARGA which is the Origin of the Bahamani rulers. Visit the sacred Dargah of Bande Nawaz Chisti. The GULBARGA FORT is constructed in the Islamic style of architecture, by a feudatory of the Orangal Kakatiyas, Raja Gulchand. It is believed that the fort was fortified by Alauddin Bahman after Gulbarga became the capital of the Bahmani Dynasty.

Later continue the drive to Bijapur - Mohammad Adil Shah built Bijapur during the 17th century. Upon arrival at Bijapur check into hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5

Today you will proceed on a city tour of BIJAPUR. In the morning you will visit the Gol Gumbaz or the round dome. This structure has the largest dome unsupported by pillars to be found in India and the second largest in the world. Later visit Ibrahim Roza, a beautiful tomb built by Adil Shah II for his queen. Also visit famous mosque - JUMMA MASJID with its Unique Painted Mihrab & the Great Canon Malik- e-Maidaan.

Later continue the drive to Hospet, Hospet is situated on the Tungabhadra River, 12 km from Hampi. This is the site of the ruins of the medieval city of Vijayanagara, former capital of the Vijayanagar Empire. The Tungabhadra Dam is located here. It was built by Vijayanagar King Krishna Deva Raya between 1509 and 1520 in honour of Nagala Devi who was his queen. It was the entrance gate to the city of Vijayanagar for all travellers coming from Goa and West Coast.

Upon arrival at Hospet, check into your hotel for AN overnight stay.

Day 6

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit HAMPI including the majestic Virupaksh temple. The Virupaksha or the Pampapathi temple is the main center of pilgrimage at Hampi. This temple has three towers, the eastern tower rises to a height of 160 feet and is nine tiered. It dates back to the first half of the fifteenth century and was renovated in the sixteenth century by Krishnadevaraya.

Later you will visit The Magical Vittalla temple; to the east of Hampi Bazaar is the Vittala temple, the temple is relatively well preserved and beautiful sculptures show the pinnacle of Vijayanagar Art. The outer pillars are known as the 'Musical Pillars' as they reverberate when tapped, although this practice is now discouraged to avoid further damage.

Evening return back to hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 7

After breakfast at hotel, check out and drive to Badami (140 Kms). Upon arrival at Badami, Check into hotel and freshen up and later proceed for excursion to Pattadakal and Aihole.

Pattadakkal (22 Kms from Badami) – This is a World Heritage centre & has 10 major temples representing the early Chaulakya architecture.The biggest temple dedicated to Virupaksheshvara, has a huge gateway & several inscriptions.

Aihole, famous as the "Cradle of Indian Architecture" has over a hundred temples scattered around the village. The oldest temple the 5th century Lad Khan Temple, The Durga (Fort) Temple has a semi-circular apse & a complete portico. Among many other temples the Jain Meguthi Temple & the two storied Buddhist Temple are significant.

In the evening visit of the gigantic BADAMI ROCK – cave temples. Founded by Pulakesi I, ruler of the Chalukyas, the town is located at the foot of a rugged, red sandstone outcrop that surrounds Agastya tirtha water reservoir on three sides & is known for its rock-cut cave temples, sculpted between 6th-8th centuries

AD. Overnight stay at hotel in Badami.

Day 8

This morning breakfast and check out from hotel and embark on your leisurely drive to Goa. Arrive in Goa and later in the day departure transfer to Goa airport to catch your flight for onward destination.
