Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Delhi
Arrive at the New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport. You will be received
by our representative outside
the customs gate and will be escorted to your
hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 2
In Delhi
After
breakfast at hotel, Transfer to “Golden Greens Golf & Country Club”. Play 1st
round of golf.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 3
In Delhi
Enjoy a
full day guided tour of Delhi.
The
city consists of two parts - Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of
Muslim India between the 17th and 19th century and has many mosques, monuments
and forts.
Begin your day with an exploration
starting in Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, the Royal Mosque which was
built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1656. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride
through the narrow lanes followed by a short walk on the main street of Old Delhi
- the colourful shopping bazaar known as Chandni Chowk. Drive past the Red Fort
(a UNESCO World Heritage Site) built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Continue
to Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.
In the
afternoon visit New Delhi - the imperial city created by the British as the
capital of India. In 1911, Edwin Lutyens, the most renowned English architect
of the day, was chosen to design New Delhi. Drive through the majestic
boulevards - the Rashtrapati Bhawan is where the Viceroy once lived and
is now the official residence of the President of India. View India Gate, a war
memorial arch built in honour of 90,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives in
World War I. Visit Humayun’s Tomb (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the
first great example of Mughal architecture in India. The day’s tour ends at Qutab
Minar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - a soaring tower of victory which is
72.5 metres high and has five distinct stories.

Day 4
Delhi-Shimla
Transfer to New Delhi Railway station to board Shatabdi Express train (0740-1145 Hrs) to Kalka. Upon arrival board Toy Train which will take around 3 Hrs to reach Shimla. Check-in at hotel upon arrival.

Day 5
In Shimla
Post breakfast, transfer to Naldhera Golf Club which is approx. 22 kms
away from Shimla. Play 2nd round of golf.
In 1905, the Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon became so captivated with the
beauty of Naldehra, a place 22 kilometers from him summer capital Shimla, that
he would often come and camp here for days on end. It was probably for the
memory oh his stay here, that he named his third daughter ‘Alexander Naldehra’
& it was on his favorite camping site that he established what today is one
of the oldest & most scenic golf courses in the country.The course boasts
of considerable character with wide views of the Himalayas,
surrounded by thick woods & comes complete with an ancient temple by the
greens, built in traditional style. The Naldehra Golf Club is an unusual
course, perched at an altitude of 2,200 meters; under a thick mane of Himalayan
Cedar ; “Deodar Trees”. It is a par 68, 18 Hole Golf Course with 16 Greens and
18 Tees. Designed over a long sloping glade, the course is regarded as one of
the most challenging in the Country.

Day 6
In Shimla
Morning proceed to visit Tara Devi Temple: " Ma
Bhagwati Tara Devi" temple is located on Tarav Parvat in the western side
of Shimla Town about 15 Km from Shimla situated by the side of Kalka- Shimla
National Highway near Shoghi. The picturesque view from the temple is indeed
breath taking and captivating with the superb panorama of the lofty and
majestic forested mountains around, which offers a calm peaceful and tranquil
countryside. Viceroy Lodge: Was originally built as a home for Lord
Dufferin,Viceroy of India from 1884-1888 and was called the Viceregal Lodge. It
housed all the subsequent viceroys and governors general of India. State
Museum:The Shimla State Museum houses a huge collection of magnificent
paintings, sculptures, coins, handicrafts, photos, etc of not only the state of
Himachal Pradesh but outside too. Jakhu Temple: It is situated on Jakhoo
Hill, 2.5 km /1.3 miles east from the Ridge, Shimla at a height of 2,455 m
(8,000 feet) above sea level. Shimla's highest peak offers a panoramic view of
the Shivalik Ranges.
Day 7
Shimla- Delhi + Departure
Post
breakfast drive to Chandigarh (Approx. 120 Kms / 03 Hrs). Upon arrival,
transfer to airport to board flight 9W 2652 (1650-1755 Hrs) to Delhi. Met upon
arrival at Delhi airport and transfer to International terminal to connect your
flight for onward destination.
