Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Guwahati


Arrive in Guwahati, Assam, India. Upon your arrival at Guwahati airport, you will be met by our representative. Drive on to your beautiful homestay in the midst of Assam’s natural greens.

This evening, your accompanying Yoga expert will brief you with a short orientation about the programme.

Day 2

Guwahati – Kamakhya - Balipara (210 kms/ 4 ½ hrs)


After breakfast, visit the famous Kamakhya temple, considered to be the most important Tantric site in the world. The legend of ‘Sati’ if deeply revered here for being the ultimate centre for feminine principle of life.

Drive out to the sprawling Tea Garden estate in Balipara called ‘Wild Masheer’ closer to the border of Arunachal Pradesh.

This evening, our accompanying Yoga expert introduces you to the first session of Dhyan Yoga

Day 3

Balipara – Nameri National Park – Balipara (40 kms/ 1 hr)


We leave early this morning to visit the Nameri National Park. This park is known for its butterflies, birds and wild masheer fish. Taking a walk in the Park this morning, we will have the opportunity to do some interesting bird watching.

Before breakfast in Nameri we will do a short session of Dhyan Yoga or mindful breathing depending on the time allowance

This will be followed by a picnic day out and rafting on the River Jia-Bhoroli. We will return to our tea garden bungalow and end the day.

Day 4

Balipara – Kaziranga National Park (100 kms/ 3 hrs)


After an early morning session of Dhyan Yoga and breakfast we will travel to the famous Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary famous for its large population of the one horned rhino. Check into Diphlu River Lodge.

After lunch you will have your first encounter of the wild grass forest of Kaziranga, with a jeep safari into the sanctuary.

Before retiring for the night we will enjoy a relaxing meditation session concentrating on the physical body.

Day 5

Kaziranga National Park


Early morning enjoy an elephant safari into the interiors of the jungles where we will be able to come close to rhinos, deer, wild boar and wild elephants.

This will be followed by a session of Dhyan Yoga before breakfast.

The day can be spent lounging reading or even taking a village walk.

In the evening we will go on a Jeep safari into the wild.

On our return enjoy a relaxing meditation session concentrating on the movements of your mind and thoughts.

A typical Assamese dance programme will await you before dinner.

Day 6

Kaziranga National Park – Guwahati (100 kms/ 3 hrs)


Early morning enjoy an elephant safari into the interiors of the jungles where we will be able to come close to rhinos, deer, wild boar and wild elephants.

This will be followed by a session of Dhyan Yoga and then breakfast.

Then pack up and depart for Guwahati to catch connecting flight to onward destination.
