Day 1

Arrive Delhi


Upon your arrival in the Indian capital city of New Delhi, you will be greeted by our representative at the International Airport. After a warm welcome, you will be escorted to your hotel.

Rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 2

Day in Delhi


Today, enjoy the day discovering Delhi, pacing through the city which is as historic as modern, like 2 sides of the same coin!

Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, which includes a visit to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, ‘silver street’, one of the largest trading centres of India; drive past Red Fort, the place that marked the announcement of India’s freedom from the British Raj; visit Raj Ghat, cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi

Later in the afternoon, discover the modern city of New Delhi, which includes a visit to Qutab Minar, a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture and the world’s tallest minaret; Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the largest Sikh temple of Delhi, with a gold tomb, still in active worship; Photo stop at India Gate, the war memorial arch built in honour of the soldiers who died in the second world war; drive past President's House, Parliament House and other Government Secretariat Buildings, the most imposing features of Lutyen’s Delhi.

Day 3

Delhi to Leh


Early morning, transfer to airport to connect your flight to Leh.

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Rest of the day free for rest to get acclimatize with the high altitude in Leh.

Day 4

Day in Leh


After breakfast, full day excursion to visit Shey Monastery: 15 Km south of Leh, an erstwhile Royal residence up to 16th century, located on the banks of Indus River and is managed by Buddhists Monks from Hemis Monastery. Visit the prime attraction of the monastery the beautifully decorated blue haired Maitreya Buddha of 17.5 m high, made up with copper and brass with studs of precious stones.

Afternoon, continue your drive towards south to visit Hemis: the largest monastery in Ladakh, built in 1630. It belongs to the red sect, Brokpa and lies at a distance of 45 km south of Leh. Impressive and intriguing, Hemis is different from the other important monasteries of Ladakh. The annual festival, commemorating the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava, held for two days in June-July, enlivening the courtyard of the monastery.

On your way back to Leh visit Thiksey Monastery is located 20 km from Leh and is situated on a hillock overlooking the Indus Valley with full face view of the magnificent Stok range.

Day 5

Leh to Kargil (230 kms /7-8 hrs approx)


This morning, embark on your drive to Kargil, en-route visit Likir Monastery or Likir Gompa (Klud-kyil) situated on a little hill in the valley near the Indus River. It belongs to the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Visit the oldest and most famous Buddhist monastery Alchi Monastery or Alchi Gompa, known more as a monastic complex (chos-'khor) of temples in Alchi village. It is administered by the Likir Monastery.

After visit, continue your drive to Kargil located in lap of the Himalayas and pass through some breathtaking views of the unfolding mountains cape as one ascends alongside a tumbling mountain stream.

Day 6

Kargil to Rangdum (130 Kms / 05 - 06 hrs approx)


This morning, embark on your drive to Rangdum and pass through some of the most picturesque parts of the villages and colourful hills on one side and glacier-encrusted rocky mountains on the other.

Upon arrival, check-in into your camp.

Day 7

Rangdum to Padum (105 Kms / 05 hrs approx)


This morning, embark on your drive to Padum enroute visit Rangdum Monastery: a Tibetan Buddhist monastery belongs to the Gelugpa sect, situated on top of a small but steep sugarloaf hill.

Later, continue your drive by crossing pentsila pass (4400m), on the way you may halt at top of pass to take photographs of wonderful view of landscape with its stunning mountains.

Upon arrival, check-in into your hotel.

Day 8

Day in Padum


After breakfast, full day excursion to visit monasteries of Sani village also visit sacred statues of Buddhas and Boddhisattavas. This monastery id located and picturesquely built in the middle of field and houses. Proceed to visit a cave monastery Zongkul and then continue your drive to visit Buddhist monastery of 17th century Bardan monastery: this is the first monastery of Dugpa-Kargyud sect established in Zanskar.

On your way back to your hotel enjoy the view of beautiful and charming villages of Zangskar valley.

Day 9

Padum to Rangdum (105 Kms/05 hrs approx)


After breakfast, embark on your drive to Rangdum via Suru valley. Upon arrival, check-in into your camp.

Day 10

Rangdum to Kargil (130 Kms/05 - 06 hrs approx)


After breakfast, embark on your drive to Kargil. Upon arrival, check-in into your Hotel.

Rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 11

Kargil to Leh (230 kms /7-8 hrs approx)


This morning, embark on your drive to Leh. Enroute visit Lamayuru Monastery: belongs to the Red-Hat sect of Buddhism and houses approx. 150 Buddhist monks. This monastery has a very rich collection of thankas and magnificent wall paintings. Visit Rizong Gompa belongs to the Gelukpa Order and serves as the residence of approx 40 monks.

After visit, continue your drive to Leh.

Upon arrival, check-in into your Camp.

Day 12

Day in Leh


After breakfast, full day visit a Buddhist monastery called Sankar Monastery or Sankar Gompa (3 kms from Leh). It is a daughter-establishment of Spituk Monastery and the residence of the Abbot of Spituk. The Venerable Kushok Bakula, the senior incarnate lama of Ladakh due to his ancient lineage and personal authority.

Afternoon, visit Namgyal Tsemo Gompa founded in the early 15th century, around the year 1430. It stands atop the crag behind Leh palace, having a full view of the town of Leh. The Namgyal Tsemo Gompa was founded by King Tashi Namgyal. It boasts of a rich collection of some ancient manuscripts and wall paintings. Shanti Stupa: (3 km from Fort Road, Leh) Japanese Stupas made for world peace. Shanti Stupa is located at Changspa on the hilltop and was inaugurated by Dalai Lama in 1985.

Day 13

Leh to Delhi (Departure)


This morning, transfer to Airport to connect your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred to International Airport to connect your flight for onward destination.
